Verführerisch eleganter fruchtiger Rotwein. Sehr helle Granatfarbe mit feinen Tränen. Dezente Nase nach kleinen rosa Beeren wie rote Stachelbeere, Wacholder mit Blättern und weißem Pfeffer. Schlanker, sehr reiner und sauberer Geschmack mit eleganten Tanninen und einer zarten Textur. Langer feinfruchtiger Abgang. Exquisiter Wein mit geschmorten Pilzen, seltenem rosa Fleisch und Tomatensalat. Perfekt für alle, die gerne Rotwein zu Fisch trinken. Serviertemperatur: 15°C
Wine Story
What began as a festive three barrel foot stomp event attended by a handful of friends on a south peninsula beach in 1996, produced a very palatable Syrah, and saw the founding in 1997 of the first true micro-winery in the Western Cape with Pinot Noir the main focus. The aptly named Barefoot Winery trading as Catherine Marshall Wines has long outgrown its humble origins to become a legendary institution and exporting to a number of markets world- wide. Our philosophy is to produce wines that are distinctive, serious in intent but to have a lot of fun doing it.
