Super-concentrated powerful mouth-filling red wine. Ink black colour with thick meaty tears. Voluptuous nose of black plums and ditto basses, equally black pepper and dried Mediterranean herbs such as rosemary and stone thyme. The taste is also full of ripe fruit, caught in a texture in which tannins and juicy acids dominate; clenched and very rich but also distinguished and classy; long meaty fruity finish with touches of leather and fresh humus. The dream partner of roasted matured beef, hare and game fricassee, braised mushrooms with sliced truffle, risotto with sun-dried tomatoes. Serving temperature: 18°C; at its best after a few hours in a carafe.
