Wine Story

I started working with Frank quite recently, in 2015. Thanks to his great knowledge of the market, he was looking for a company that was truly an expression of Roero; that small slice of territory bordering Alba and the Langhe, but which few Belgians knew yet. In the Roero there is still a primordial and wild nature, mainly hilly, where orchards, hazelnut groves, wooded areas and vineyards intertwine; the Roero is a territory of uncontaminated beauty, rarely visited by wine tourists.

Since my efforts are oriented towards the production of traditional wines, with indigenous grape varieties that express the characteristics of a unique territory, characterized by sandy soils and rich in biodiversity, I was just right for him and he immediately liked the wines. They are in fact the result of intense work in the vineyard and the utmost attention to detail, which has always been the basis of our company philosophy and which has always rewarded our commitment with great results in the full expression of the territory from which they come.

Since then the collaboration has never been interrupted, on the contrary, it has been consolidated and perhaps also thanks to the work that Frank does in Belgium, more and more tourists visit the little Roero, a semi-unknown "cousin" of the notorious Langa".

*Ho iniziato a lavorare con Frank abbastanza recentemente, nel 2015. Grazie alla sua grande conoscenza del mercato, cercava un'azienda che fosse davvero espressione del Roero; quella piccola fetta di territorio che confinava con Alba e le Langhe, ma che pochi belgi conoscevano ancora. Nel Roero c'è ancora una natura primordiale e selvaggia, prevalentemente collinare, dove si intrecciano frutteti, noccioleti, aree boschive e vigneti; il Roero è un territorio di incontaminata bellezza, raramente visitato dagli enoturisti.

Poiché i miei sforzi sono orientati alla produzione di vini tradizionali, con vitigni autoctoni che esprimono le caratteristiche di un territorio unico, caratterizzato da terreni sabbiosi e ricchi di biodiversità, ho fatto proprio al caso suo e i vini gli sono piaciuti subito. Sono infatti il risultato di un intenso lavoro in vigna e della massima cura dei dettagli, che è sempre stato alla base della nostra filosofia aziendale e che ha sempre premiato il nostro impegno con grandi risultati nella piena espressione del territorio da cui provengono.

Da allora la collaborazione non si è mai interrotta, anzi si è consolidata e forse anche grazie al lavoro che Frank svolge in Belgio, sempre più turisti visitano il piccolo Roero, un "cugino" semisconosciuto della famigerata Langa".*
