Exuberant rich fruity red wine. Unusually deep peony-red colour with sleek cherry-red tears. Dusty nose of deep ripe black currants, wild roses and black pepper. Rich and ripe attack with firm yet velvety tannins and a fine ripe juicy acidity. Very long intense fruity finish with cocoa and grilled toast in the finale. Superb wine with grilled red meats and glazed duck, washed rind cheeses and grilled stuffed tomato or soft red peppers. Till 5 years decant an hour in advance. Serving temperature: 15°C
