Tasting notes
Complex mineral full white wine. Deep straw yellow color with golden green tears. Impressive nose with clear mineral base topped with exotic and native fruits, tight citrus notes and a hint of vanilla and discreet wood aging. Clenched but fresh attack in the taste with a solid characterful texture and a luscious aftertaste. Top wine that demands complex dishes of grilled chess animals or firm white fish with exotic garnishes, asparagus à la flamande, seafood gratin or Swiss cheese fondue, also with white vegetables au gratin and cheeses with washed rinds. Serving temperature: 12°C.
Wine Story
I met Frank Matthys at a fair in London in 2014. He asked me if he could try "just one wine" to get an impression of our cellar, but he ended up trying every bottle we had on the table... for me, a very good start.
From the beginning everything made sense to us: Frank's innovative character in a relatively conservative market, a portfolio of producers we admire and the family nature of the company. We quickly established a partnership for Matthys to represent De Martino in the gastronomy in Belgium, and immediately afterwards Frank visited us in Chile to get to know De Martino and our vineyards in Maipo and Itata better.
It is a pleasure to work with companies (and people) with whom we share a similar vision and commitment. We hope that the journey with Matthys Wines will be a long one, as we know that we could not be better represented in Belgium.

Conocí a Frank Matthys en una feria en Londres, en 2014. Me preguntó si podía probar "sólo un vino" para hacerse una impresión de nuestra bodega, pero terminó probando todas las botellas que teníamos en la mesa... para mí, un muy buen comienzo.
Desde el principio todo nos hizo sentido: el carácter innovador de Frank en un mercado relativamente conservador, un portfolio de productores a los que admiramos y la naturaleza familiar de la empresa. Rápidamente establecimos un partnership para que Matthys representase a De Martino en la gastronomía en Bélgica e, inmediatamente después, Frank nos visitó en Chile para conocer más a fondo a De Martino y nuestros viñedos en Maipo e Itata.
Es un agrado trabajar con empresas (y personas) con las que compartimos una visión y compromiso similar. Esperamos que el viaje junto a Matthys Wines sea uno largo, ya que sabemos que no podríamos estar mejor representados en Bélgica.
