Surprisingly mischievous elegant dry red wine. Intense bright cherry color with fleshy colored tears. Nose of juicy black fruit and pepper with a hint of fresh mushrooms in evolution. The taste is as crazy as the label implies: nice and naughty in texture with a playful challenge between acids and tannins that remarkably keep each other under control to push the fruit fully forward. A pleasant glass of wine that perfectly fulfills what is expected of him as a thirst quencher and as a BBQ partner. At its best at 15°C with juicy red meat with grilled or lacquered crust, top with a colorful mix of grilled fruit vegetables with oregano and rosemary, with freshly ripened white cheese and can even handle spicy oriental curries! Serving temperature: 15°C.
I met Frank Matthys at Vinexpo in 1993. In that year Frank was starting his business focusing on "New World" wines. Belgium was a market focused on French wines and in that context, his approach was clearly innovative.
The first wine he bought was a Torrontés, looking for something that would express Argentina's identity.
27 years later, we are still working together and that makes me very happy. Our children have grown up and integrated to the companies, in my case they are taking the responsibility of the company and Sebastian markets his personal project "Cara Sur" through Matthys.
We were very different companies from what each one is now, however, the passion for quality and innovation has been maintained on both sides over time and has been taken over by the new generation.
